BRIMFIELD SEPTEMBER 2016 SNEAK PREVIEWS - FINE ART AND FRAMED PRINTS

This September, starting just one week from today, we are bringing fine art and framed prints to Brimfield for the first time. You'll find our tent in Space 36 in the front row of Hertan's Field, just steps from Route 20. We'll be there from noon on Wednesday September 7th right through that Sunday afternoon. Please note that we will not be displaying paintings nor ephemera on days when there is rain in the forecast (better safe than sorry).

This beautiful winter scene is an oil-on-board by noted Kennebunkport artist Ron Goyette.

BRIMFIELD SEPTEMBER 2016 SNEAK PREVIEWS - WAR POSTERS AND EPHEMERA

This September marks the very first time we will be bringing ephemera and fine art to our front row location in Space 36 of Hertan's Field. I'll have pictures of some of the paintings and prints we'll be offering coming soon, but today's sneak preview is of several of the fine World War I and World War II posters we'll be offering starting Wednesday, September 7th at noon. We will also have some old maps and various other paper items available for sale, weather permitting. All of the below are protected in hard plastic top-loaders, making them easy to inspect and transport safely.

This classic "Christy Girl" is one of the most popular and valuable posters from World War I.

This Victory Garden poster is one our favorites from World War II and was folded away for many years so the colors are very sharp.

This is the smaller version, fantastic condition, we also have the larger one available.

We're not quite sure when this very uncommon bonds poster was made, we believe it is from the late 30's, just before the U.S. got involved in World War II.

BRIMFIELD SEPTEMBER 2016 SNEAK PREVIEWS - ADVERTISING SIGNS

We sold a TREMENDOUS amount of advertising during the spring Brimfield shows, and we'll have a terrific selection of signs, boxes, tins, and everything else advertising-related when Hertan's Field opens on Wednesday, September 7th at Noon. Here's a little "sneak preview" of some of the great signs we'll be bringing this time around!

This amazing porcelain Firestone sign dates from the 1930's
and is FIVE FEET wide and 30 inches high!

This Wolf's Head sign is from 1970 and is double-sided.
