We were greeted at Hertan's Field Sunday morning by a touch of rain and a paucity of customers, and decided to immediately begin packing up, as the forecast called for more rain to develop, and we figured not too many folks would be coming out to traipse the fields. However, by the time we left at midday, the parking lots had begun to fill with shoppers undeterred by the pessimistic forecast, and those shoppers ended up being very lucky, as the "steady rain" that was predicted for most of the day never developed into anything more than just a light drizzle. A bit disappointing, but we did manage to make one sale on the day, and on the plus side, we got home dry and in time for the NFL's early kickoff.
Our thanks as always go out to David and Jerry and all of the terrific folks at Hertan's. They are simply the best, and we are proud to be associated with their show! Thanks as well to our tent providers, Rick and Sheri from Elegant Tent And Party, and to the folks from Peter Fuller for our rental van. Be sure to mention Lovequist Antiques if you decide to use their services!
Our next appearance is scheduled for Todd Farm on Sunday, September 27th. We also intend to have our HUGE yard sale the following Saturday, October 3rd, featuring a lot of items that are just too large or difficult to bring to the flea markets, like furniture, floor lamps, and some fine and framed art, alongside a host of other offerings, all at deeply discounted prices. It will be an event that you do NOT want to miss!
